great game! I love this and the art is amazing. there are a couple things that I noticed. There semes to be unused space that's unintentional. also, if you use a touch pad on a laptop, you can just scroll with 2 fingers, and it auto clicks/clicks really fast.

quick question as well... is their supposed to be music? if so I can't hear it.

overall great game and amazing art! this is going in one of my collections!

I'm glad you liked it! Thank you so much for the feedback.

As far as the gray background goes, it seems like that happens when I zoom into itch.io, so you might not be at normal zoom.

The scroll thing is the "cheat" I mentioned in the description ;)

There is no music, I was waffling with some ideas, but nothing seemed to fit.

Thanks again!

I officially call this not clicker game but a scroller game lol

lol, well close enough, probably

Game not loading. FF.

Hmm... That's strange. Can you tell me what operating system and browser you're using? I'll have a chance to try to fix it soon.

Linux Mint, FF.

Probably related to https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/86382

Since I haven't been able to find a workaround, I exported a Linux build. Hopefully it works.

Also doesn't work on MacOS Firefox. Lots of warnings and errors in the console.

Yes, Godot unfortunately doesn't support Mac in the browser. Have you tried the MacOS download?

HOLY SHIT!

Nice art! Unfortunately I can't play it, as it takes a very long time to load and then either right as it loads or right before, it crashes the browser tab. Safari (Mac), Firefox, Chrome, Brave all crash. One time I was able to get into the game on Firefox and then it locked up after a minute or so of clicking. I've not seen this happen before in a browser game. Hope you can figure it out!

hmm... I'm sorry you weren't able to play the game. Unfortunately I don't have a Mac available for testing.

Could you maybe check if anything is coming up in the console of your browser?

So it looks like unfortunately Godot 4.x currently has no MacOS support for web builds.

I did however make a MacOS build that might work. You'd have to download it, and it's possible your Gatekeeper will try to block it. See the link for help: https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/export/running_on_macos.html#do..

As others have already pointed out, numbers & gains start to get a little wonky when upgrades start reaching around the 20's mark. Allowing the use of scroll-wheel as a way to produce "clicks" was appreciated. Art's fine.

I'm glad you liked my little "cheat"! I'll see what I can do about the wonky values.

The wonky numbers should be fixed now!

At the cost of Mana rift breaks at level 27, becoming a negative number. Also, it seems that certain number thresholds cant be passed unless the value you gain is larger than the threshold.

Other than that, your pixel art is stunning and the game is really fun!

I'm really glad you liked it! Especially the art, since that's what I was trying to improve in this project.

I really only tested up to the final growth stage at 1 billion, but did also notice some glitchy behavior afterward. I guess I should have expected people to go beyond!

wonky numbers have been fixed!

I may have reached Mana Rift level 20...

The tree is already fully grown! It's going to explode!

I hope you enjoyed it!

is there a way to tell when i reach max growth

It's at 1 billion mana. There should be a little popup, but it goes away after a few seconds.

probably should make it stay on screen unless clicked

for some reason my mana goes down some times

Can confirm. Later on your trillions won't go up. It just loops the billions.

Thanks for mentioning that. I'm honestly not sure why this is happening, since under the hood the numbers keep counting properly. I'll take a look at it.
